HOT PICKS! On Sale This Week!

Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension

The Avengers Epic Collection: This Beachhead Earth, Marvel. A re-release of one of the most essential Avengers collections, featuring the Kree-Skrull War, the origin of Black Panther and much more, from Roy Thomas, the Buscemas and Neal Adams. Damn.

The Amazing Spider-Man #300 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. The first full appearance by Venom, by Michelinie and McFarlane. There’s a foil variant too, in case you dig such things.

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension

The Avengers Epic Collection: The Gathering, Marvel. I’ve always thought of this run as the “JLA Detroit” period of the Avengers, but I’m willing to go back and give it a second look.

Jean Grey #1, Marvel. Happy to see Louise Simonson writing Marvel again!

Marvel Masterworks: Fantastic Four Vol. 25, Marvel. Another hardcover collection of the landmark John Byrne run, including the unfinished Last Galactus Story!

Author: Dan Greenfield

        • This happens all the time since Covid. You should be used to the wrong solicitations and delays by the publishers by now. I can’t tell you how many times a title wasn’t out on the stated date . It’s not Dan’s fault. He does us all a great service with this website and all of its info. Save yourself time and trouble by calling the shop before you go there.
