DENNY O’NEIL and MIKE GRELL Team Up for GREEN LANTERN Anniversary

A GREEN LANTERN WEEK BONUS!

Welcome to GREEN LANTERN WEEK! On May 17, 1940, All-American Comics #16 gave us the original Green Lantern — Alan Scott — and the rest is history. All week long, we’re celebrating 80 years of the best of GL — from Hal Jordan to John Stewart and so much more. So click here for the complete INDEX of features — and beware Green Lantern’s light!

Well, I thought we had GREEN LANTERN WEEK all wrapped up earlier Friday when we posted an EXCLUSIVE column by Neal Adams on his favorite GL story, which came from his famed partnership with Denny O’Neil. (Click here to check it out.)

But now DC has put out the news that O’Neil and another GL collaborator, Mike Grell, will be teaming up for a story in June 23’s one-shot Green Lantern 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1.

O’Neil and Grell’s original Bronze Age work will be collected in hardcover this July.

Now, we don’t have any more intel on the new story yet but it does follow the news of O’Neil and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez’s pairing for June 9’s one-shot The Joker 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1 (click here).

Oh, and one more note: Ron Marz — who also provided 13th Dimension with an EXCLUSIVE column this week (click here) — has reunited with Darryl Banks for a Kyle Rayner story in the issue, as well.

Groovy.
