Special Exclusive NEAL ADAMS DC CLASSICS ARTIST’S EDITIONS Out Next Week
The Neal Adams Store editions are almost in… Oh, hooray! The online Neal Adams Store exclusive versions of IDW’S Neal Adams DC Classics Artist’s Edition are out next week, the late artist’s family has announced. “Finally! We are expecting the get our shipment of the exclusive Neal Adams DC Classics Artist Edition Books on Monday,” said Kris Adams Stone. “They are limited to only 100 copies of each and only available on nealadamsstore.com. “We still have some left to purchase, so grab them up now,” she added. “We hope to start shipping as early as Tuesday. They are huge, heavy books, but we will do our best to get them all out as soon as we can.” Each Adams Store edition runs $250, but if you buy both, it’s $450. The interiors are the same as the $150 standard editions — which still appear to be due in July — but the covers feature Adams’ greatest Batman and Superman covers. (There are also Walt’s Comic Shop and an IDW direct-to-consumer exclusives.) The book was editor Scott Dunbier’s last for IDW before opening his own publishing shingle, Act 4. The 12″ x 17″ tome — featuring classic Batman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Deadman, Superman and other finely reproduced original art — is “a monster,” Scott said recently. “288 pages plus 5 foldouts… There are seven complete stories plus a ton of covers and pages. Ridiculously big. Which is what Neal deserves, a larger than life book for a larger than life man. There is a truly heartfelt intro by Bill Sienkiewicz.” You can find the standard editions through your comics shop or online retailers.
