This is an ACTION COMICS Cover You Need to See

Another bulletproof winner from Julian Totino Tedesco…

DC’s solicitations are out Friday and poking among the selections, I found Julian Totino Tedesco’s latest magnificent Action Comics cover, for April’s Issue #1042.

Dig this:

It is almost unfair how good this is and it really makes me wish DC would set him loose on a classic-style Superman graphic novel. Because damn. (Love the echo of the Golden Age [the head] mixed with both George Reeves [the body shape] and Christopher Reeve [the logo and tights].)

Wanna see more of his covers? You definitely do. Also check out the links below.

And hey, the regular cover — by another favorite, Riccardo Federici — is badass too, but in a much different fashion:

Kal-El the Barbarian!

Anyway, here’s the full solicitation info:

  2. That “Action Comics” variant cover of Superman is ABSOLUTELY super! I wonder if Julian Todino Tedesco would be up for doing artwork for a “Kingdom Come” one-shot?
