Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
World’s Finest #153 Facsimile Edition, DC. Strangely, DC Comics’ solicitation makes no mention of it, but the selling point of this Facsimile Edition is that it features the infamous slap that launched a thousand memes.
—
Batman #15, DC. This is my turning point on the series. I’ve liked it but not loved it and I’m giving it one more arc before I decide to keep going or jump.
—
Superman: The Stranger #3, DC. Lois Lane!
—
Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane #1, Marvel. Mr Garcin’s collage variant rocks…
… and so does Bruce Timm’s!
—
The Warlord by Mike Grell Omnibus Vol. 2, DC. Covers Issues #37-71 and Annual #1.
—
DC Silver Age Covers & Stories Artist’s Edition, Act 4/DC. On my Chanukah list.
There’s also a direct-market exclusive variant cover that features the original art from Superman #199 (which will be a Facsimile Edition next week, as it happens).
Sorry for the mud. It’s the only version out there.

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Captain America Epic Collection: The Lazarus Conspiracy, Marvel. Fill in the gaps in your Bronze Age Cap reading, with lots of work by the mighty Sal Buscema!
—
Preacher Compendium One, DC. As I used to say about Preacher back when I owned a store, it’s not for me, but I get why people like it. Here’s a nice fat collection to get you started.
—
Crisis on Infinite Earths: DC Compact Comics Edition, DC. Normally, I’ll recommend any reprint of Crisis, but I must admit some concern about how legible all those tiny Perez panels will be in the compact format. Caveat emptor.
