A few thoughts:

Jack Burnley

— I have no idea what those keepsakes will look like, but since the cover art is by Jack Burnley, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and Dick Giordano, it certainly appears this will be your classic Bat-style.

— Which, y’know, makes sense because it wouldn’t really fit if grim-and-gritty Batman were adorning this.

— The calendar lists for $29.99 and is scheduled for a Sept. 14 release.

— Hey, I made it all the way through this post without a “Batman smells” joke!

  2. Issue #27, that was my first Golden Age comic. Don’t recall exactly why I’d get an issue with Santa, I’m guessing it was the least expensive purchase available to me. I think I paid $20 in the early 80’s.
