The beloved title returns in November, with George Perez’s Wonder Woman… When we broke the news in August that Wonder Woman would be getting her first-ever solo treasury — with DC also bringing back the classic Bronze Age Limited Collectors’ Edition labeling and numbering — one thing we didn’t see was how the LCE trade dress would be integrated into the cover. Now, we do. Dig this EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK at the oversize comic’s wraparound cover: — Buncha thoughts: — It was originally believed that the trade dress would mimic the original 1970s design. Ultimately, DC opted to integrate the dress more cleanly into the 1986 Wonder Woman logo. — The issue celebrates the 40th anniversary of Perez’s series, which debuted in October 1986. — Rather than crop the original cover image, DC added vertical blue borders similar to those used for this year’s Justice League of America #200 treasury. A good solution. — DC solicited the 10″ x 13″ volume as Issue #64, eschewing the old-school “C-XX” numbering convention. But the “C” is there! It’s the little things in life, kids. — Limited Collectors’ Edition #64 (or #C-64): Wonder Woman — The Princess and the Power collects the first three issues of Perez’s run and is due Nov. 18. The standard edition lists for $14.99, with the foil variant priced at $19.99. — MORE — DC COMICS to Publish Three FACSIMILE EDITIONS in JANUARY 2027. EXCLUSIVE: A couple of curveballs in there… DC Comics in January will be publishing three Facsimile Editions — 2009’s Gotham City Sirens #1, 1986’s classic Watchmen #5, and a third one that you can read about over here. Dig the solicitation info — to be released officially by DC later Friday — for Gotham City Sirens and Watchmen: GOTHAM CITY SIRENS #1 FACSIMILE EDITION Written by PAUL DINI Art and cover by GUILLEM MARCH Foil variant cover by GUILLEM MARCH ($6.99 US) Blank Sketch Cover After literally having her heart broken (and then stitched back together by the greatest doctors in the superhero community), Catwoman is off her game and making the kinds of mistakes that might get her killed. When a timely save from Poison Ivy—and the chaotic arrival of Harley Quinn—leads to the possibility of all three teaming up in an increasingly dangerous Gotham, there’s only one question left to resolve: Can they trust one another? $3.99 US | 32 Pages | Variant $4.99 US (card stock) ON SALE 1/6/27 — WATCHMEN #5 FACSIMILE EDITION Written by ALAN MOORE Art and cover by DAVE GIBBONS Foil variant cover by DAVE GIBBONS ($6.99 US) Blank sketch cover ($4.99 US) Rorschach continues his investigation into the murder of the Comedian, making an unannounced late-night visit to the home of former super-villain Moloch. Dan offers Laurie a place to stay, Ozymandias fights off a would-be attacker at his corporate headquarters, and as the authorities finally close in around a long-sought target, the minute hand ticks ever closer to midnight… $3.99 US | 32 pages ON SALE 1/27/27 — Buncha thoughts: — Kind of a slim month, given that DC typically publishes six or seven Facsimiles at a time. I’m not reading anything into it, though. It happens. — Watchmen #4 is part of the publisher’s 12-month, 40th anniversary reprinting of the entire series, but why Gotham City Sirens#1? Most Facsimiles have a hook and this one doesn’t appear to have one that’s obvious. Guillem March is a go-to cover artist and given the continued popularity of the Sirens, mayhap this is one of those Facsimiles where the cover is the draw, particularly in foil. — Don’t forget there’s a third DC Facsimile in January. Link below! — Given that January is Black Lightning #1’s 50th anniversary, I’m (ahem) shocked that’s...
