Buncha thoughts:
— Kind of a slim month, given that DC typically publishes six or seven Facsimiles at a time. I’m not reading anything into it, though. It happens.
— Watchmen #4 is part of the publisher’s 12-month, 40th anniversary reprinting of the entire series, but why Gotham City Sirens#1? Most Facsimiles have a hook and this one doesn’t appear to have one that’s obvious. Guillem March is a go-to cover artist and given the continued popularity of the Sirens, mayhap this is one of those Facsimiles where the cover is the draw, particularly in foil.
— Don’t forget there’s a third DC Facsimile in January. Link below!
— Given that January is Black Lightning #1’s 50th anniversary, I’m (ahem) shocked that’s not among the Facsimile selections. But there’s time: 2027 will still be the groundbreaking hero’s anniversary year.
— Obligatory Price Comparison #1. An unslabbed, high-grade original Gotham City Sirens #1 recently sold on eBay for $23. There was a retailer exclusive foil variant produced in 2024 and it goes for about $25-35, so maybe it is about the cover.
— Obligatory Price Comparison #2. An unslabbed, mid-grade original Watchmen #5 recently went for $9.
