13 COVERS: The DEMON and Bronze Age DC

We wrap our weeklong salute to Jack Kirby!

Jack Kirby was born Aug. 28, 1917. He would have been 98.

We finish our seven days of 13 COVERS salutes with the Demon. Truth to tell, I would have done 13 COVERS just on ol’ Etrigan but he only ran 16 issues, so that seemed kinda pointless. Solution? Six Demon covers — and seven covers featuring a variety of other Bronze Age titles, mostly bits and pieces.

Part 2. Captain America in the Silver Age! Click here.

Part 3. Kamandi! Click here. (Also: If you want a good look at the Kamandi Artist’s Edition from IDW, click here.)

Part 4. Romance! Click here.

Part 5. The Hulk! Click here.

Part 6. Thor! Click here.

(Here’s our usual caveat: These are subjective lists and not meant to be definitive. This is not a ranking of any kind. This is pretty much what I dig and you may feel very differently. So, rather than beef about a cover you don’t see, instead join in the fun and share your own choices in the comments section or in whatever social-media thread you saw this.)
