Unfortunately, it’s not only very manned, but also brimming with gamma radiation! Kelly’s hilarious script and McGuinness’ larger-than-life action proved a winning combination in the issue that launched Deadpool’s first-ever ongoing series – featuring Deadpool’s fan-favorite pal, Weasel; the mercenary hangout that is Hellhouse; and the first appearance of Wade’s imprisoned housemate, Blind Al! It’s one of the all-time great Marvel comic books, boldly re-presented in its original form, ads and all! Reprinting DEADPOOL (1997) #1.

— Release dates and prices are not yet available. But they’re typically in the $5 range.

— I’ve been digging the Spider-Man issues. I never read them the first time around. Good, solid Spidey comics.

  1. I wish Marvel would go back to their Silver and Bronze Age material. That I’ll buy definitely…usually (3-4) copies each.

    • Oh, I expect they will. Don’t forget: They’ve committed to a year of Secret Wars and Spider-Man. But they also use these for marketing, and Deadpool is getting the movie hype.

  2. This is probably wishful thinking on my part, but I hope sometime in the later half of this year we get Facsimile reprints of Grey-Furred Beast (Amazing Adventures #11) and Sunfire (X-Men #64). Since along with a year of Secret Wars and Spider-Man we’ve been getting some material on X-Men.

  3. I bought the original Amazing Spider-Man #258 when it came out. I thought the Torch giving Spider-Man an old FF suit and paper bag to wear home was hilarious. Such a Johnny Storm thing to do!
