One of the most influential creators in comics history has died.
Steve Ditko has died at the age of 90.
He co-created Spider-Man, which is enough for any artist or writer to hang their hat on. But his contributions went well beyond that.
The Hollywood Reporter has the story here.

Sad day for Spider-Man fans. Through Steve’s art we saw a spindly teenager grow into a brilliant young man.

Have to admit I don’t fully understand the Objectivist attitude and beliefs that kept him from enjoying fame and fortune (I’ve always heard he didn’t profit or accept the rewards – maybe I’ve heard wrong) from his creations. Every time a Spider-Man movie would play I couldn’t help but think of that. Gotta admire him for it though. He did good work. God speed.
