Ed Piskor’s X-Men: Grand Design has been one of the funkier mainstream comics projects of the last year or so. The series — broken down into three, two-part segments — boils about 300 issues of mutant lore down into one, seamless narrative.

Next up? X-Men: Grand Design — Second Genesis #2, the conclusion to the series’ second segment, out 8/29 from Marvel.
