SNEAK PEEK: The Greatest BATMAN ’66 Collection You’ll Ever See

EXCLUSIVE: Even Bruce Wayne would be hard-pressed to top this…

Remember a couple weeks ago, how we showed off that original Burt Ward Robin costume owned by an anonymous collector we’re calling Alfred? (Click here if you missed it — or want to see it again. Believe me, you want to.)

Remember how we said we had a ton more to show you?

Well, we do.

But before we start doing a deep Bat-dive into Alfred’s extraordinary collection of original costumes and screen-used items (not to mention his original Batmobile and his replica vehicles and props), we’ve got a nice, fat tease for you, thanks to a photo Alfred himself sent over:

The Caped Crusaders and friends (and enemies) in Alfred’s hidden headquarters. (Copyrighted photo. Do not re-publish without permission.)

Yeah. Five screen-used Bat-costumes (with some replica items thrown in to complete the looks). And this doesn’t even include the Joker and the Penguin — because those mannequins aren’t finished yet — or many of the other pieces of this amazing collection.

The Batman ’66 exhibit in Los Angeles, which mixes screen-used items with dead-on replicas, is superb (click here). But this private collection is extraordinary, especially when you consider it’s owned by one person. It’s probably the greatest you’ll ever see — and you may even get a chance to see it up close because Alfred is looking to create a traveling exhibit.

Anyway, over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be presenting detailed looks at every item in Alfred’s collection, with tons of pix, just like Robin.

So keep coming back to 13th Dimension — and bookmark this post because we’ll be adding links as we go along.

  1. This is, of course, awesome! But I also love seeing the Monkees guitar in the background.

    Mind = blown.
    On the other side of the Batmobile, is that the car from National Lampoon’s Animal House?
