Sales results from the Stewart Berkowitz auction…

In September, we told you about Heritage Auctions’ sale of late collector Dr. Stewart Berkowitz’s incredible collection of original 1966 Batman TV show costumes, props and collectibles.

Well, the results are in and Berkowitz’s collection — featured here at 13th Dimension many times over the years — raked in a fortune worthy of millionaire Bruce Wayne. The top seller? A set of Batman and Robin costumes for $575,000, including buyer’s premium.

  1. Very Cool…I have the Adam West/Burt Ward flicker ring, Corgi original Batmobile & Batman tv cards…there wasn’t alot of Adam West merch made in ’66…mostly the Batman character

  2. Of course I’m looking through the lens of a fan, but why wouldn’t these be displayed in the lobby of Warner Brothers Studious in glass-cases for tourist to see? If I were CEO, I would’ve purchased them and done just that.

  3. Yeah, I’m not in the money to have even thought of bidding on these, but, I’m surprised the Riddler outfit didn’t go for more. Had I the money, I’d have gotten that.

And I agree with John Coates, – As Indy said, “This belongs in a musuem!”
