It’s BATMAN ’66 WEEK!

Celebrating the beloved TV show’s 60TH ANNIVERSARY!

Our first official BATMAN ’66 WEEK was way back in 2014, two years before the 50th anniversary of the 1966 show starring Adam West. We’ve had a few since, but now we’re here again with one for the show’s 60th anniversary!

Batman debuted Jan. 12, 1966, launching Batmania and, with it, the fandoms and careers of countless kids across the country. To celebrate, we’ll be running daily tributes and features, leading up to Jan. 12 itself, when we’ll roll out a brand-new TOP 13 BATMAN ’66 EPISODE COUNTDOWN, voted upon by a panel of the most knowledgeable Bat-experts around.

So keep coming back to this post, because we’ll be updating it with links as we go on.

In fact, we’re already under way! And dig that new banner by Wallopin’ Walt Grogan!

Holy Diamond Jubilee!

  1. Just read the first article and it’s some great stuff. I’ve been a fan of the 1966 Batman show since I can remember. Eagerly looking toward the rest.

  2. I watched the premiere when I was five years old! My Mom was actually the one who wanted to watch it and we both became fans. Excuse me, we both became Bat-Fans!! I’ll be reading your features “Same Bat-time, Same Bat-Dot-Com!!”

  3. Batman wears a costume, not a uniform.

    • I was gonna say something snarky about semantics but I don’t actually see either “costume” or “uniform” being mentioned. What am I missing?

    • For accuracy, I just repeated the word that Lorenzo Semple Jr. used in the script.
