SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!

By KERRY CALLEN
Last week, I showed you my Aquaman Funnies from 2019’s MAD #6.
Today, let’s take a look at my Joker Funnies from MAD #10.

They say if you have to explain a joke, then it’s not a good joke. But, I will mention the squirting mustard bottle in “The Hardy-Har Side” is supposed to represent Joker’s acid-shooting lapel flower. Most people catch the croissant batarang.
I thought of the “Harlie” gag one day while driving. I was trying to use the time to think of Joker jokes, but my mind kept wandering. I was thinking of all the stuff I needed to do around the house. I then realized I could maybe use it in a strip! (Yes, it’s a little dark.)
P.S. You should SUBSCRIBE to MAD!

I’m glad you did. I got to enjoy the strip/joke twice! Classic Far Side.

Glad I am getting to see these now on here. When I was younger MAD was a pretty regular purchase. Now I mainly try to THIN out my collections…

These are great! Would love to see this expanded on to incorporate other mainstay comic strips and comic book characters!

I think I saw these before, or some of them anyway! Yes, the “Harlie” one is dark but it’s brilliant!
