TRUTH: Who Wouldn’t Want to Be Tied Up by WONDER WOMAN?

SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!

By KERRY CALLEN

Want to know something almost interesting? Sometimes artists can inspire themselves! Consider this Woman Woman art I drew digitally:

I had recently drawn a very similar Wonder Woman on a yellow, blank comic cover. I created it using black ink and color pencils. I liked the pose. So, I decided to do a digital version, where I have more control over the finished image.

But that’s not all! The Wonder Woman pose was inspired by a Spider-Man I drew on a blank comic cover. I liked the foreshortening effect of the web, so when it later came time for me to draw a Wonder Woman cover, I ripped off myself!

Now I’m trying to think of other characters that would work with an I’m-throwing-this-in-your-face pose. A batarang on a rope would work! Ha ha! I should have Superman throwing it, just to confuse people.

  2. I’m amazed how well they line up. Did your digital start with a scan of the pencil drawing? I look forward to seeing the others now that you’ve already teased the BATMAN. Ya kinda have to do it now.
