The much-anticipated Batman ’66 exhibit at L.A.’s Hollywood Museum opened with a special VIP gala Wednesday evening and we’ve got your FIRST LOOK inside:
The exhibit, as you see, is broken down into four major areas: Wayne Manor, the Batcave, the villains and rare memorabilia.
Among those attending were Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether and other guest stars, such as fan-favorite Donna Loren, who memorably played Susie the cheerleader in Season 1, and Terry Moore, who played Venus in Season 2.
If there’s a TV show that deserves such colorful treatment, it’s definitely Batman. Curator Wally Wingert and Burt Ward’s publicist Roger Neal have done a brilliant job pulling it all together with the Hollywood Museum.
And what you see here is really just a small glimpse of what the exhibit — formally titled Holy Hollywood History: Batman ’66 — has to offer. We’ll have tons more in the days ahead, so keep checking back at 13th Dimension.
The exhibit opens to the public Friday, which is Jan. 12 — the 52nd anniversary of the show’s debut. For ticket info, click here.

The Batman Helmet and Cape!!! I had that! It really hurt wearing the helmet but it was great. Replaced the bath towel an safety pin with real crime fighting gear. Also, the Stardust kit. As I remember, the picture of Batman and Robin had peel off numbered paper cells revealing adhesive background page. Each cell had a number that corresponded to a color of velvety dust. You poured it on the sticky and the color stuck.
