Breyfogle, Aparo, and Cooke Lead DC’s April DOLLAR COMICS Line-Up

The Joker, Catwoman, Checkmate and Green Lantern make up the parade…

DC released its April solicitations Friday and there’s a lot there for history-minded fans. There are the 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectaculars featuring the Joker (click here) and Catwoman (click here.) There are also Facsimile Editions of DC Super-Stars #17, featuring the Huntress’ origin story (click here), and Englehart and Rogers’ seminal Detective Comics #475 (click here).

But what of the Dollar Comics line?

Well, the Joker and Catwoman dominate there too, plus there are appearances by Sinestro and Checkmate — tying into a new Geoff Johns Green Lantern collection and the upcoming miniseries Event Leviathan: Checkmate, respectively.

Dig the complete line-up — featuring the likes of the late Norm Breyfogle, the late Darwyn Cooke, the late Jim Aparo, Grant Morrison, Paul Dini, Scott Snyder and many others:

  1. They all look good but the Batman 450 only have the cover and interior art going for it. It was the first time that the Joker had encountered Batman since A Death in the Family. It was a big let down just like most of Marv Wolfman’s run on Batman and Detective.
