The pioneering animator turns 60…

If Bruce Timm worked on nothing but Batman: The Animated Series, he could have hung his cowl on that and called it a great career.

But, no, the animator and illustrator has kept it going with more shows, movies and art books, making him one of comicdom’s most respected artists.

Naturally, his DC bona fides are strong, so for this year’s birthday salute — he was born in 1961* — we bring you 13 GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS of Marvel heroes, culled from various internet sources. A few have been colored by fans, but most are the complete work of the master himself.
