13 DETECTIVE COMICS COVERS to Make You Feel Good

Just for fun…

Usually I have some vague reason for posting the “just for fun” 13 COVERS galleries. This time, it’s simply because Detective Comics #1004 is out this week.

There’s nothing special about the issue per se. It’s just that I happen to think the title is the best Batman series going right now and that’s put me in a ‘Tec mood.

That and maybe I’m still feeling some residual buzz from March’s Detective Comics #1000/Batman 80th Anniversary extravaganza. (Speaking of, click here to check out the fave Detective covers picked by 13 top creators like Neal Adams, Bill Sienkiewicz, Dave Gibbons and more.)

In any event, dig these 13 COVERS from the Silver and Bronze Ages.

Groovy.

  1. Awesome covers Dan! When I glimpsed at the cover with the Catman, for a split second I thought I was looking at the Creeper!

  2. That Cat-Man cover came to life on BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD.
    “Time Out of for Vengeance”.
