The man who would be Spock was born March 26, 1931.
As fate would have it, we recently launched TREK TUESDAYS, a weekly celebration of all things related to the so-called Original Series. To kick it off, artist Tony Shasteen has been giving a master’s class in creating comic-book covers starring Spock, who’s getting the spotlight treatment from IDW right now. (Click here for the most recent entry.)
Of course, we celebrate milestones and memories with 13 COVERS in this sector, so Mr. Nimoy today gets his due, led off by Tony’s cover to IDW’s Star Trek #55.
And it was just William Shatner’s birthday, so Kirk got the 13 COVERS treatment just the other day. (Click here.) Plus, if you missed our interview with Shatner — in which he talks about his collaboration with Nimoy — click here.
Now, onward.
Oh, and if you don’t see your favorite cover, that’s cool. Just add it in in the comments below or in whatever social-media thread you found this. (And feel free to check out our 13 COVERS salute to Nimoy from last year.)
