13 BLACK CAT COVERS: It’s Friday the 13th!

Very superstitious. Writing’s on the wall…

Hey, it’s Friday the 13th! So here are 13 COVERS starring the Golden Age Black Cat of Harvey Comics fame!

Get it? Friday the 13th? Black Cat?

See what we did there?

Oh, the heck with it. Dig these. (And yes, Frank Robbins based his so-called “Pirate Catwoman” design on Black Cat.)

  1. One of my favorite comic book titles — ever!!!! Loved Lee Elias’ art on it! A great costumed heroine!

  2. Wow, those are some gorgeous covers. I only know Black Cat in passing. Doing some googling, man, her title is a great barometer of where comics went after the initial super hero craze died down, from the late Golden Age, thru the Atomic Age, and into the Silver. From straight super heroics, to putting her in western tales and briefly retitling the comic, to going into straight mystery and horror, with some of the most lurid covers of the pre-code era. Then going into the more sanitized “mystery” phase, and finally, in the early 60s, back to the Black Cat character and super heroics!
