There’s a new Green Lantern TV show starting Sunday, August 16. Or should I say Lanterns.
I’ve always liked the Lantern Corps. From the oldest way back comics and the silly constructs they could make with their rings. (Let’s not talk about the Ryan Reynolds movie and that whole Hot Wheels race track thing.)
There were a bunch of aliens in that group and it always amazed me how they would be able to construct human type things even though they were aliens and would never have seen those things. It’s almost as if they had a human person writing those stories.
I’m not just a random complainer, mind you, I did write some Green Lantern comics back in the day. It was the animated series comics, but I still feel that counts as making me an expert.
I’m excited for the new series, and I saw Sinestro in the trailer, but I don’t know how many aliens there will actually be on the show. And if I get surprised and there are, I doubt they will have either B’dg or Ch’p.
Oh, you think either of those two can’t be badasses (can I say that)? I beg to differ. Ch’p can make a giant acorn construct and make it rain deadly acorns on (or through) your head. See, Ch’p isn’t even from Earth but he looks like a squirrel and knows about acorns… you know what? Nevermind, we already covered this.
Anyway, I made my own scene that I would love to see in the upcoming series. I doubt it will happen, but on the off-chance it does, I’ll eat a pile of alien acorns.

Franco and his forehead have traveled the world and he writes and draws stuff. Franco is the creator, artist and writer of Patrick the Wolf Boy and Aw Yeah Comics! Franco has worked on books/comics, including Tiny Titans and Superman Family Adventures. Franco was also a high-school teacher and is one of the principal owners of Aw Yeah Comics retail stores.
