THE FLASH Goes Wonderfully Wacky With TO CATCH A BLUE BOLT

INSIDE LOOK: A new FILMATION FILES installment!

Welcome to THE FILMATION FILES, a recurring series that takes a deep dive into some of the most entertaining cartoons ever – the DC Comics segments first broadcast in the ’60s but which were also a staple of ’70s syndication. Click here for the complete index of features, as well as links to our podcast with John S. Drew.

Earlier this month, we gave you 13 QUICK THOUGHTS ON FILMATION’S FLASHY FLASH CARTOONS. (Click here. It’s groovy.)

This time, we’re doing an INSIDE LOOK at a specific Flash episode — To Catch a Blue Bolt — on the latest entry of our sister FILMATION FILES podcast:

You can click here to have a listen, or check it out on iTunes, Stitcher or wherever you listen to your podcasts. (THE FILMATION FILES podcast is an off-shoot of The World’s Greatest Super Friends Podcast, which I co-host with John S. Drew of The Batcave Podcast fame.)

To Catch a Blue Bolt’s a real doozy by “Zany” Bob Haney, so check it out!

  1. A possible reason for Kid Flash’s costume color swap: When certain characters were colored incorrectly on Filmation’s Star Trek series, it was later revealed that Filmation animation director Hal Sutherland was completely color blind and he was only guessing character’s colors all along and sometimes, …he chose poorly. (*LOL!*)
