A 13 COVERS 100th BIRTHDAY tribute to the late artist…
The late, great “Gentleman” Gene Colan was born 100 years ago, on Sept. 1, 1926!
We’ve covered plenty of his work over the years, including Tomb of Dracula, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Howard the Duck, Batman, romance comics, and much more. Even Archie!
But for this 13 COVERS birthday tribute, we’re going underwater with our first-ever spotlight on his 1960s Sub-Mariner, primarily from Tales to Astonish. (Actually, we’re featuring all of his Subby covers, because as far as we can tell, he did 15 of them. So consider this 13+2.)
