The BRONZE AGE Lives Again in 2023 MARVEL CALENDAR

Plus some Silver Age too!

Comics calendars are groovy by definition but it’s even cooler when they’re homages to the Silver and Bronze Ages. Good thing, then, that Marvel and Trends International have teamed up again for the 2023 Marvel Comics Wall Calendar.

Dig this official description from an Amazon listing, as well as some sample pages:

There’s also a smaller version for those of you still working in cubicles. I’m not sure if it has the same art but the cover suggests that’s the case:

I’m already ready for next year, aren’t you?

  1. Venom seems out of place with this assortment. Gotta luv some Marvel Bronze Age.

    • Yes, definitely a case of “one of these things is not like the others”. That’s enough to make this unappealing to me…:(

    • Venom is slightly out of the time frame by a couple years but he’s so popular I’m not surprised he was included. Personally, that wouldn’t stop me from getting it.

      • So’s the Keith Pollard Spider-Man. I liked his work okay, just an anachronism here.

  2. My favorite Marvel calendars were the classic cover editions published by Asgard Press in the 2010’s.

  3. Nothing says “The Bronze Age of Marvel Comics” like including Venom. Lol. I’m wondering if some licencensing issues are at play here, because characters like The X-Men, Daredevil, The Silver Surfer and The Fantastic Four are very conspicuous by their absences on this calendar.

    • Jeopardy question: What characters are currently featured in Marvel movies, TV shows or studio adjacent projects? (and I would swap Venom for Daredevil in a heartbeat).
