With Spider-Man: Brand New Day still dominating the box office, I thought I’d turn the spotlight over to another beloved Spider-Man: Miguel O’Hara, the cyberpunk, web-slinging Spider-Man from Marvel’s 2099 line.
This was one of the Marvel books I kept buying in the early ’90s, and it was all due to the magical creative team of Peter David, Rick Leonardi, and Al Williamson.
In this Spider-Man 2099 piece I drew last year — co-starring Goblin 2099 — I was doing my darnedest to channel that amazing vibe that Leonardi and Williamson created.
Oh, and I also made a trading card. Just for kicks.
