The great Bruce Timm, who helped define Batman and the rest of the DC Universe for a generation of fans through various animated series and films, was born 63 years ago, on Feb. 5, 1961.

I really wish Timm had more time to do comic work. As much as I love his animation work, his comic style art is just as stunning. We need more!
