The great Bruce Timm, who helped define Batman and the rest of the DC Universe for a generation of fans through various animated series and films, was born 63 years ago, on Feb. 5, 1961.

As much as we love his work in animation, we’re also huge fans of his superhero illustrations.

  4. I really wish Timm had more time to do comic work. As much as I love his animation work, his comic style art is just as stunning. We need more!
