Dig this FIRST LOOK at the issue’s covers by Brad Walker and Chris Samnee!

Remember how a couple weeks ago we wrote that DC was teasing a Superman/Jor-El/Lara reunion in October’s Issue #3 of Superman ’78?

Well, there’s another clue about the direction the miniseries by Robert Venditti, Wilfredo Torres and Jordie Bellaire will take.

Check out these Issue #4 covers — the main one of which clearly suggests that Superman is trapped with his family in the bottle city of Kandor.

What’s funny is that one of my favorite things about Superman: The Movie is that it stripped away so much of the Man of Steel’s Silver Age background. (Don’t @ me!) I can’t wait, however, to see how Venditti and Torres meld it all together.

But wait, there’s more! We can also give you the FIRST LOOK at Issue #4’s variant by Chris Samnee. The issue comes out in November:

Oh, and if you want to check out the first several pages of August 24’s Issue #1 — and you most definitely do — click here and cue the John Williams.
