Remember how a couple weeks ago we wrote that DC was teasing a Superman/Jor-El/Lara reunion in October’s Issue #3 of Superman ’78?
Well, there’s another clue about the direction the miniseries by Robert Venditti, Wilfredo Torres and Jordie Bellaire will take.
Check out these Issue #4 covers — the main one of which clearly suggests that Superman is trapped with his family in the bottle city of Kandor.
Feast your eyes on this piece by Brad Walker and Nathan Fairbairn:
That’s sure what it appears like to me: Lex Luthor lording over the glass-encased city while a worried Lois looks on.
What’s funny is that one of my favorite things about Superman: The Movie is that it stripped away so much of the Man of Steel’s Silver Age background. (Don’t @ me!) I can’t wait, however, to see how Venditti and Torres meld it all together.
