NEAL ADAMS Sheds New Light on a Magnificent Career

A new ‘zine spans Adams’ decades of ground-breaking influence…

There is no creator I’ve written or read more about than Neal Adams, but if you’re anything like me, there’s never enough to learn about the ground-breaking artist who redefined comic-book art more than 50 years ago.

So I was pretty dang pleased to see historians Alex Grand and Bill Field (with an assist from N. Scott Robinson) publish a new, career-spanning interview with the storied creator: Comic Book Historians Presents… Neal Adams: Master Illustrator.

The newly released ‘zine runs 52 pages and delves into every major aspect of the creator’s life in comics. Adams loves to tell stories and Grand and Field make sure they hit all the major landmarks — from the 80-year-old artist’s days in comic strips through his superstar years, to today, where he’s become one of the industry’s great elder statesmen:
