The comics master’s miniseries was on hiatus after Issue #4…
When the coronavirus pandemic hit, it threw the entire comics industry into disarray. Some of the fallout has been major, some minor, but the ramifications will continue to be felt for some time.
For one small example, Neal Adams’ 6-part miniseries Batman vs. Ra’s al Ghul has been on hold since February.
But now, according to DC’s solicitations released Friday, the bombastic series co-starring Deadman will be picking back up in March — in time for the 50th anniversary of both Ra’s al Ghul and his daughter Talia.
Dig the official solicitation info, along with an unlettered, recolored cover:

A few thoughts:
— This cover was the one originally solicited. I actually prefer the red color scheme, but either way I dig the image.
— Mark your calendars: Talia debuted in Detective Comics #411, which came out in March 1971. Weeks later, in April, Ra’s hit the scene in Batman #232. So if the new schedule holds up, Issue #6 will come out right around the Demon’s Head’s 50th.
— The series was set to be collected in trade but when that happens now is unclear. Also, you may recall that DC is planning Batman: Arkham — Talia al Ghul, collecting some of the antiheroine’s best-known tales. That’s due March 23.
