MARVEL Adding New Bronze Age IRON MAN EPIC COLLECTION to Lineup

Mike Friedrich and George Tuska’s Shell-Head coming in the fall…

Marvel is adding a pair of new Bronze Age Epic Collections to their lineup this autumn — one featuring Iron Man and the other starring the Hulk (which you can read about here).

Iron Man Epic Collection: The War of the Super Villains — by Mike Friedrich and George Tuska — is due for an November release, according to the well-connected Epic Marvel Podcast.

A full description hasn’t made it online yet, but here’s the copy from the back cover:

Iron Man #69 will provide the book’s front-cover art.

“A feud of epic proportions has been growing amongst the world’s super villains. The mysterious Black Lama is pitting villain against villain and the prize is ultimate power. It puts the Mandarin against the Yellow Claw, MODOK against the Mad Thinker and all of them against Iron Man! It’s a saga like only Marvel makes them — “The War of the Super-Villains!” This Epic Collection also boasts the towering threat of Ultimo and Iron Man’s return to Vietnam to rescue a friend behind enemy lines. Meanwhile, NYPD Detective Michael O’Brien begins an investigation aiming to nail Tony Stark for the death of his brother, the Guardsman. Add to that the Blood Brothers, the Controller and a new incarnation of the Molecule Man, and Iron Man must defend himself from all corners or he’ll lose everything!”

Iron Man #80 will provide the book’s back-cover art.

The edition, which extends the Bronze Age Iron Man Epic Collection run into 1974-76, includes Iron Man #68-91 and Iron Man Annual #3.

The softcover is due in November and will list for $44.99. No exact date has been set.
