MARV WOLFMAN Injured in Fall, Cancels EAST COAST COMICON Appearance

The Bronze Age great was scheduled to appear this weekend…

Writer Marv Wolfman was injured in a fall as he was traveling to East Coast Comicon late Thursday, show promoter Cliff Galbraith announced on Facebook:

“Marv Wolfman had a fall just before going for his plane. He sustained a head wound that his doctor said made travel unadvisable and we agree that canceling his appearance was in his best interest. We wish him a speedy recovery.”

Wolfman, who turned 73 earlier this week, was scheduled to appear all weekend at the show, highlighted by a Friday evening panel with his longtime collaborator George Perez, who is on a farewell tour.

The panel is scheduled to go on with Perez alone at 7 p.m., moderated by yours truly.

We wish Marv all the best.
