Buncha thoughts:

— Keep in mind Marvel’s current definition of a Treasury Edition differs from the traditional Bronze Age concept. Those were roughly 10″ x 13″, while these are slimmer at 8 1/2″ x 13″. These are also trade paperbacks, as opposed to oversize comics. Whether any of that matters to you is up to you.

— That said, I still don’t understand why Marvel stubbornly refuses to re-release its classic Treasuries as Facsimile Editions. DC has done a ton of them, which mean they sell. (This year’s two Superman/Spider-Man Treasury Facsimiles were published by DC.) It feels like the House of Ideas is just leaving money on the table. Perhaps that’ll change under new management.

— Hey, you can thank our pal Mark Chiarello for the whole Modern Age black-and-white anthology concept. He started it all with Batman: Black and White 30 years ago.
