Just two weekends left!
National Beach Day is coming Sunday, August 30, and Labor Day weekend is just days after that — so hurry and go get the coolest Batman beach towel I’ve ever seen:
I have a thing for Batman logos and I have a thing for Batman beach towels, so happening upon this 30″ x 60″ terry cloth wonder gave a me joyous jolt.
I think my affinity for Batman beach towels goes back to when I was very young, and I saw one just like this at the Jersey Shore:
Some lucky kid had it, and I never got one. I imagine that sitting on it must have felt like you were in the Batmobile, and how cool is that? I saw this one on eBay, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $90 on it. (Then, there’s the great 1970s Batman towel poncho.)
Anyway, I’m happy that the fancy new one is only $35. (I’m not advocating getting it on Amazon, but that’s where I found it.)
So, let’s hit the beach! Or the pool! Or the sprinkler!

I’ve heard about Labor Day, but there were rules about when you can sit on a beach towel?
Anyway, I like this, but that second logo down, the letters are rather spread out compared to the comics. Wonder if it’s been hand drawn for the occasion.
