New Fun Comics #1 Facsimile Edition, DC. UPDATED: This IS treasury-size! Marking DC’s 90th anniversary, it was originally published in 1935 and it’s the first comic ever to feature only new material. Foil and sketch covers both available.

I bought the hard cover treasury of New Fun at Ollie’s a couple years ago.

Are you saying that the New Fun #1 facsimile will be the same dimensions as a current (2025) comic? Well, all I can say is that I’ve always been curious to see what it would look like in regular comic size… and I say that only because I’ve always presumed the aborted 2000 Millennium Edition reprint of New Fun #1 would have been standard size.
But I can’t believe it’s still going to be $9.99.

That’s good to know. I love the Famous First Edition hardcover that came out in 2020, but it’ll be interesting to see how this “handles” as a treasury-size 32-page floppy.

New Fun #1 is about an inch and a half taller than the usual treasury size, and just slightly wider, so a different shape from most comics one sees. A narrower rectangle than modern comics. Seems an odd choice, unless this is close to the original’s proportions. The internal material seems to fit that configuration well.

I’m struggling to find a bag and bord to fit New Fun #1. Treasury size and Life Magazine size wont fit.
