Green Lantern #26, DC. Is Kyle Rayner riding an energy shark? I’m in.

I REALLY hope they do The Nam in other more “manageable” reading formats besides the unwieldy Omnibus format that some of us absolutely hate…it’s such a great series it would be great to see as a Marvel Epic Collection series…

There were three ‘Nam trades that covered issues #1-30. Probably not quite what you want, but I bet you can still find them.
There’s also a trade called “The Punisher Invades the ‘Nam” which includes the later issues that incorporated Frank Castle.

Completely agree. If The Nam were in an Epic TPB format, it would be an easy purchase.

Wait, is Kyle wielding a Warhammer 40k energy sword??
August 25, 2025
That isn’t a shark Kyle is riding: It’s Ion, the avatar of the green light spectrum/willpower that gives the Green Lanterns their ring. But Ion has never been depicted with teeth before.
Guy is riding Parallax (the Fear/Yellow light avatar) and Star Sapphire is atop the Predator (the Love/Violet light avatar).

You mean Hal is riding Parallax.
August 29, 2025
I stand corrected. Sorry. Hal would make much more sense.
Also, I guess I missed the story where Parallax was killed and this is a new fear avatar created by the other avatars from their fear of Parallax’s death and what it could mean for them.

I am afraid that the Omnibi format is almost unreadable, far too heavy to comfortably hold. A real shame. Anyway, it looks like there’s a lot worth buying this coming week!

Spectacular Spider-Man by DeMatteis and Buscema!!! Waited quite some time for this to be properly collected.

I hope there aren’t any problems with the Action Comics #23 facsimile. I have to say that not only because of the mistake with the Adventure Comics #210 facsimile (duplicating a page from the Green Arrow story at the expense of a page from the Aquaman story), but there was a screw-up with the recent Detective Comics #880 facsimile as well: the ads on the inside front and inside back covers were transposed.
