Batman: The Animated Series Diorama Scene, Jada Toys. I’m not a huge fan of metal-cast figs, but that’s me. There are always exceptions, though, like this groovy four-pack featuring 2.75-inch BTAS Batman, Robin, Joker and Harley. Best part? The Clown Prince of Crime brandishing a Joker Fish!

Marvel Masterworks Dazzler, Vol 03, Marvel. Sure, it’s mostly nostalgia, but I do have a soft spot for Dazzler — it really felt like nothing else on the racks at the time.

The Flash #782, DC Comics. Under the pen of writer Jeremy Adams, The Flash continues to be the most fun book out there under a DC cover.

I started reading comics regularly with the Roger Stern run on Avengers. It was bewildering and yet totally engrossing. My first issue was when Henry Pym was forced to work for Egghead, and ended up turning the tables on him. Pym, triumphant, tells Egghead that he, as Hank Pym, beat him and not any of his 4 heroic alter-egos.
For a pre-teen kid with no knowledge of Ant-Man/Giant-Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket, I couldn’t follow along, but it still was enthralling!

That is my era of Avengers. Avengers #230 was the first issue of Avengers that I ever read. It was a top 5 series for me in the 80s.
