SNEAK PEEK: Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s maxiseries finale goes out in go-go style…

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s maxiseries Batman & Robin: Year One has been mostly an ode to the Golden Age, but there have been flourishes here and there that touch on other eras, notably the 1966 Batman TV show.

The maxiseries’ first cover, for example, was a direct riff on the show’s animated opening:

Now, in the Issue #12 finale, we get another nod to the world built by William Dozier, Lorenzo Semple Jr., Adam West and Burt Ward: the origin of the Bat-Climb!
