GIANT-SIZE EXPANSION: DC Adds ‘ART BOARD FACSIMILES’ to Its 11″ x 17″ Line

SDCC ’25: They’ll be at San Diego Comic-Con, as will a (fittingly) Giant-Size variant of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1…

DC Comics on Friday announced its plans for San Diego Comic-Con, including the launch of a decade-long celebration building to the company’s 100th anniversary, panels, activations, and merch.

Among the things that caught my eye is the publisher’s expansion of its new Giant-Size 11″ x 17″ line into “Art Board Facsimiles.” Four — all featuring Jim Lee original art — will be available as SDCC exclusives: There will be one for the Batman #158/Hush 2 cover, and a set of three for Lee’s Batman #163/Hush 2 connecting covers.

There will also be a — fittingly — “Titan Sized Special Edition” of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1, with a foil variant cover by Kevin Maguire. (“Titan Sized” is just a cheeky way of saying it’s an 11″ x 17″ Giant-Size issue.)

Prices have yet to be released.

But those Art Board Facsimiles are really intriguing. They may very well end up just being a convention thing but you just know they’re going to sell, which means it wouldn’t be at all surprising if such things ultimately made their way into comics shops.

San Diego Comic-Con, runs July 24-27. (Wednesday night, July 23, is Preview Night.) For more info — and there’s a ton — check out dc.com.
