One of comics’ greatest writers is gone…

Gerry Conway, a Bronze Age giant and one of the greatest comics writers of all time, has died at the age of 73, Marvel announced Monday.
Conway, in my mind, is the best Spider-Man writer who ever lived — most notably he wrote the death of Gwen Stacy — and was a strong Batman writer as well (he co-created Jason Todd). Those accomplishments would be enough for any creator, but Conway’s reach as scribe and editor extended even further than that.
Here are some stories we’ve done about Conway over the years:

Never a fan of the new Robins but a huge fan of his Spider-Man stories. GOD bless him. Gerry was a true talent.
