FIRST LOOK: Mark Waid and Neal Adams’ FANTASTIC FOUR: ANTITHESIS #1

An EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK at one of the most anticipated miniseries of the year…

It’s remarkable when you think about it, but Neal Adams has never done a full-length Fantastic Four story. That changes, however, on Aug. 26 with the arrival of Fantastic Four: Antithesis — a four-part miniseries written by Mark Waid, inked by Mark Farmer and colored by Laura Martin.

Judging by the first few pages, Waid and Adams are going for the scope and bombast suitable for Marvel’s first family.

“An unstoppable meteor of unknown origin has just erupted from hyperspace — and unless the Fantastic Four can find a way to stop it from hitting Manhattan, millions will die!” reads Marvel’s breathless description.

And it all has a distinct Bronze Age feel, as well. (Beardless Reed!)

So dig this EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW of Fantastic Four: Antithesis #1:

  1. Looks like Adams has stopped trying to draw in the 90s Image style with all those extraneous lines. Thank goodness! His personal style is so much better.
