Flame on!
Last week, we reported that writer Kurt Busiek was putting together a series of eight one-shots spinning out of his famed 1994 Marvels miniseries with artist Alex Ross — Marvels Snapshots.
Each issue will be by a different creative team and feature a Ross cover. And like the original series, the installments will be told from the perspective of an average person.
The first issue — Sub-Mariner: Marvels Snapshots #1, by Alan Brennert and Jerry Ordway — kicks off the series in March and you can click here to read all about it.
But Marvel on Wednesday announced that a second issue will also be coming that month — Fantastic Four: Marvels Snapshots #1, by the Beasts of Burden team of writers Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer and artist Benjamin Dewey.
The story will be a Silver Age tale of the Human Torch, so dig Ross’ main cover…
… and Dewey’s variant:
That should give you a taste of what might be in store. Plus, dig the corner box!
Marvels Snapshots will be published twice a month for four months.
