EXCLUSIVE: Ditko is… indeed amazing…

One of the most anticipated books of the year is out Dec. 4 from Marvel — Ditko Is… Amazing!, a collection of stories illustrated by Spider-Man’s co-creator presented in gigantic size.

And when I mean gigantic, I mean more than a foot wide and nearly 2 feet high — about the same size as Ditko’s original art. (We told you it was coming months ago. Click here for more details.)

But unlike, say, an IDW Artist’s Edition, most of the pages here are presented as published — an oversized smorgasbord of colorful, inventive storytelling.

Nevertheless, as a bonus, the book also features hi-res scans of Ditko’s original art from Spidey’s 1962 debut in Amazing Fantasy #15. There are some rare pencils from other material, too.

Ditko Is… Amazing! includes Amazing Spider-Man #3, #11-13, #24, #31-33, Annual #1-2, and Spidey’s origin from Amazing Fantasy #15. It lists for $100. FYI, Marvel also has similar editions featuring the art of Jack Kirby.
