Dig This Groovy New WONDER WOMAN TV Season One Playset

Your very own War Department for fighting Axis evildoers…

Customizing king Anthony Durso is back with his latest Mego-style playset — and this one has been among his most-requested projects: the Wonder Woman War Department, based on the first season of the beloved ’70s TV show.

Dig this INSIDE LOOK –– along with Anthony’s commentary:

“This is one that’s been requested a lot, as a companion piece to the Wonder Woman Paradise Island and IADC playsets,” Anthony said. “I finally pushed it to the front burner, as a 1942-era playset seemed fitting for the 42nd playset I’ve designed in the last 19 months.

“It’s pretty basic, not many Easter eggs this time around,” he added. “A straightforward adaptation of the offices of Yeoman First Class Diana Prince and Major Steve Trevor, as seen in Season 1 of ABC’s The New, Original Wonder Woman. As usual, I rewatched episodes, made notes and then went to work. Diana’s office takes up most of the real estate in this playset, with enough room for her to do her spin, before storing her WAVES uniform in the closet (door on the right) and heading out, sight unseen (left door), to fight Nazis. Steve’s office is on the flip side of the wall with Diana’s desk.”

A few thoughts:

— Gotta tell you, with supply-chain problems being what they are right now, putting Anthony’s 8-inch-scale playsets on your holiday list is one way to go to make sure there’s something to open Christmas morning (or on Chanukah, which is in November this year!).

— Anthony’s created dozens of playsets over the last 18 months or so, primarily for comics characters and shows. You should definitely click here to check out our index, which shows off each set and provides links to more detailed views.

— As I always feel compelled to point out, I don’t make anything from this. I just love showing it all off. Each set — including case, artwork and complete assembly — is $85 plus shipping.
