Three collections tentatively scheduled by DC in 2026 have been shelved, at least for now: DC Universe by Alex Toth: The Deluxe Edition (due July 14), DC Finest: Superman — The Last Days of Superman (due Feb. 17); and a new printing of Batman: The Movies (due June 30), which includes the adaptations of the Burton/Schumacher flicks.
I wouldn’t fret just yet, though. None of these were officially solicited by DC (correct me if I’m wrong); they were included in online book-market listings. As I always say when reporting such things, nothing’s official until it’s official. In fact, that’s where the cancellation info came from, too.
So these could still return — especially the DC Finest edition. The publisher has been putting its weight behind that line, so I fully expect this entry to make it back onto the schedule at some point.
That’s not insider knowledge. Just an educated guess. That said, y’know, nothing’s official until it’s official.

If the Alex Toth book is cancelled, that would be HUGELY disappointing. He’s my all-time favorite cartoonist and I’ve been wanting a dedicated collection of his DC work for decades. Hope this isn’t true.

NOOOOO!!!!! I was really looking forward to the Toth and Movies books—especially the Toth!!!!!!
I hope they will be solicited in the future in some form like the listing for the new printing of the Batman by Neal Adams Omnibus cancellation but getting the Batman Bronze Age Omnibus and Absolute Batman by Neal Adams instead.
