Convergence: Batman and Robin writer Ron Marz goes with three of the most significant Batman stories of all time.
We’ve been having a grand ol’ time talking to the Convergence creators about their fave tales. This week, Batman and Robin #2 comes out and writer Ron Marz joins the fun with his Greatest Hits picks.
In case you missed them:
Week 1: Tom Peyer and Steve Yeowell pick The Atom’s Greatest Hits
Week 2: Justin Gray and Ron Randall pick Catwoman’s Greatest Hits
Week 3: David Gallaher and Steve Ellis pick the Green Lantern Corps’ Greatest Hits
Week 4: Doc Shaner picks Shazam‘s Greatest Hits

Dan Greenfield: What are your favorite stories starring Batman?
Ron Marz: It’s so hard to pick just three favorite Batman stories. Everybody’s got a list as long as their arm. But I have to go with the obvious:
Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Year One
Killing Joke
I read those books at just the right time, when I was being drawn back into comics. Each made a huge impression on me, and I still re-read them often.

Dan: What’s the most fun part of working on Convergence with these characters?
Ron: Anytime you get to write Batman is a treat. But getting to write Batman with Denys Cowan and Klaus Janson providing the art is an honor. I’m blessed.
