SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN! By KERRY CALLEN I’ve created several Superhero “Funnies” for MAD Magazine since its relaunch in 2018. Aside from a few Peanuts parodies, I have never shared much of them here at 13th Dimension. Let’s change that, starting with Aquaman, the first Funnies I created: This was shortly after the first Aquaman movie, starring Jason Momoa, debuted in December 2018. (Of course, due to the printing schedule, I had to write and draw it before seeing the movie.) MAD #6, with Joker Funnies, came out shortly following, in 2019. I really like the aesthetics that fellow 13th Dimension columnist Bill Morrison brought to the book while he was at the magazine. Since that time, MAD has reverted to its original numbering, with the upcoming issue numbered #601, hitting the stands in mid-August.
